Everything Poops
It gave me a giggle this morning…

James Gang places @ Moto-ST in Daytona
Congrats to the James Gang Racing/ Hoban Brothers team for finishing 3rd in the Suntrust Moto-ST endurance race series. In the grand sport twins (GST) category they were only 2 points behind 2nd place and 4 points behind 1st place.
The gruelling 8 hour race, you read that right, was held at the Daytona Speedway. Three different riders took shifts of riding the 3.5mile track at speeds over 100mph. Jeff Johnson went first, then Paul James, followed by Walt Sip.
Paul James was able to keep his blog updated during… here are some of his comments from the race:
“Jeff is starting the race today. Bikes are rolling. Crew and riders are amped. I’ll ride second. Walt third. Reports on the fly as I can.
Jeff crashed early in his stint. He was taken out by the #77 Ducati in a racing accident.
We fixed the bike as best we could and Jeff’s back on track. The #77 is back on track too.
More drama. We had moved into 3rd and then Walt crashed and cracked the frame. The crew was amazing and fixed the bike again. Thank God for epoxy.
2.5 hrs to go. We are back in the race, but we need help to win the title.
Still more drama. Walt brought the bike in with an oil leak. Crew hard at work again. We can’t seem to buy a break today, but we’re not giving up.
Unfortunately, our oil leak fix was only temporary as Jeff oiled the tack in the International Horseshoe to bring out a red flag. We brought the bike back in and replaced the oil cooler.
I took the bike back out for the last 15 minutes of the race. At least we finished.”
After all that, you guys certainly have my respect. What a day!
Faster
Faster — cant get this Rachel Yamagata song out of my head.
