CESBound

As you may have noticed, I haven’t been around here much. I have, though, been working on a project or two at work.
Over the last couple of months we have been hard at work on a 1972 Volkswagon Westfalia, dubbed “Double Nickels”. The goal was not only to restore it but to put it on the road a week before CES, stopping along the way to meet up with everyday people. A full restoration (engine, interior, paint and suspension) enabled us to get the VW down the road on a 2500 mile trip from Nashville to Las Vegas…via New Orleans, Austin, Las Cruces, Phoenix and even a quick stop at the Grand Canyon.
Over the 6 month of work and throughout the trip we kept a video log of the process for all to enjoy.

One of the projects we been hard at work on at the office is a CoOp program where we pair fashion and textile design with some of our iPhone cases. Today marks the launch of our first product, the Elan Form case wrapped in Chilewich woven vinyl.
They’ve probably already arrived in a store near you. Or, if you see my wife, ask to see her phone.
Check out the video above on my Vimeo account, or, there’s a YouTube version as well.

Here’s a little timelapse video I shot this past weekend out at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas while hanging out with the James Gang / Hoban Brothers Racing team.
