When I was a teenager back in the late 60's I wanted a BMW 2002 so much that I got to know all of the salesmen by their first names. It was out of the question because they were $3500 new. I settled in 1972 for a new Fiat 128. It was outrageously priced at $1995. That worked out to $70 a month for 3 years! My dad eventually got a Beemer but, alas, I have never been able to aquire one. Maybe my son will let me drive his. I'll put gas in it, take it down for a hot wax, and promise not to drive it (too) fast.
