Old Friends
I’m the type of person that wouldn’t go back in time to alter the past if the opportunity was presented. I think the past shapes the person you become. For good or bad, you are your past–it’s what you do with that history that molds and directs your future. But, that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to revisit some friendships if only for the sake of saying “hello” after all these years.
Recently, I was re-introduced to a friend. In the past, Chris Somerville and I were like brothers. Chris and I had lost contact for various reasons and it took the urging of a mutual friend to open a new conversation. It’s good to have a friend back.
While growing up, though I didn’t know it at the time, I seem to have made friends with all the kids who were moving away. I’d make friends with them only to find out they were leaving the school, the state or the country.
So, If you know one of the people below…drop them a note to say J. Curtis, Jay Curtis or Jason Curtis says ‘Hi’.
School - Harold W. Smith
Lisa Baize
School - Valley Cathedral Christian School
Clint Hill
Jenny Latham
Angie Trott

I’m doing the same thing these days.. reconnecting with old friends…. everyone tells me it’s because of my age (I turned 29 a week ago). I like reconnecting… it lets you know that all that stuff you remember about your past was real, and not just stories that you keep telling over and over… I recently had lunch with an old friend from elementary school… we talked about the day we went to King’s Island together… and we both remember it the same way!!
