Had a meeting today…interesting meeting. We heard about this new software/hardware configuration that is going to make doing this multiple screen stuff much easier…BUT…we can’t just create stuff like you would on any video package. We have to do things in layers. Think like photoshop…background, midground, foreground, extreme foreground…that kind of thought. AND we have to limit the number of video clips we’re running at the same time and mix and match with still frames and 32 bit files (alpha channel included). I’m still in a bit of a whirl about it…as I’m guessing you are…who are you, by the way?? anyway.

it does as much for my creativity as it does for my bewilderment of doing the project. what I mean is that we’re going to have to spend more time producing layers instead of getting it all done in one fail swoop…however…it takes what we’re doing in a completely new direction and gives us the opportunity to use the limitations to our advantage…think japanamation and cell animation. it oughta be an interesting combination.

Oh, and we’re finally supposed to meet with PIPE on Sunday/Monday in chicago to discuss exactly what will be on those screens. the good thing is that they’ve been selling out shows in a matter of hours (if not minutes)…that means the possibility of more cash later for cooler stuff.

The bad stuff about today is that I had WAAAAY too much coffee and now I’m shakey and wanting a cigarette.

more later.
