Okay, so here we go.

First, I have managed, between other projects, to get two really strong sets of storyboards done (remember they’re from the bands artwork and we’re making that artwork move). So, the two sets I’ve completed have been sent off to the guy who did the artwork. Incidently, that guy is actually the brother of the lead guitarist and the head of a very well put together design firm. Well, I haven’t heard back from him yet, it’s been 2 days, but other things have happened in the meantime.

The production manager for PIPE called my boss and said that the lead singer would like us to put together storylines for EVERY song in the set. Immediately I’m excited, interested and bemused by this. But then I think, how did he know we were taking a storyline approach to the artwork unless he’s seen it? Backstory: most bands have concert visuals commissioned and they’re usually motion graphic elements and some video (preshot) elements that lack in any kind of story. So, I’m thinking that our idea about doing the visuals that was has caught on. What a fucking cool deal!

the money isn’t going to be grand, it’ll be long hours and tireless amounts of rendering but I’m so up for it. why am I up for it? Because I am just finishing an excrutiating commercial for a book of the month club that’s grating on me more than sandpaper underwear.

that’s how I feel…how do you feel?
